- Date: Tuesday 10th November
- Time: 7pm – Coffee and Cakes from 6.30pm
- Location: ISCA College, Exeter
We have a jam packed meeting – both iOS 9 and OS X El Capitan (10.11). Whether you are just starting out or seasoned Mac/iOS veteran, we guarantee you will learn something new.
We are going to cover:
- The best new features.
- Our favourite hidden/less obvious additions
- Potential issues and how to overcome them
- It’s going to be an insanely great meeting!
Lots to cover, and as always, we would welcome you thoughts on iOS or OS X, bring along your experiences and prepare to share them if you wish.
After the break we have two options. We are running New User Corner again, our special session lasting 20/30 mins going through things with a small group of newer/less experienced users. If you wish to take advantage of this, it will hopefully give you some more individualised 1:1 time.
Alternatively, we will be showcasing the iPhone 6s – its new features, everything from is the new camera any better and is 3D touch a gimmick or not. We have the answers!
As normal we have another great set of Raffle prizes, including more Apple merchandise, and some other treats.
See you there!
We are trying something a little different this year. We have managed to secure the use of the Cricket Pavilion at Exeter School. We have full access to the two rooms and small kitchen. After the ‘mixed’ reaction to the food at the City Gate we thought we could do better.
Unlike last year, if you wish to attend there will be no charge – but you need to bring a dish. Anything you like, curry, salad, dessert… And there will be prizes for the best dishes!
The social will take place on:
Tuesday 8th December 7-10pm
there is plenty of free parking off Victoria Park Road,
next to the Pavilion (more details will follow)
We are planning another great evening and would love it if you could join us. We will have an Apple-themed quiz, Apple Bingo (with Prizes) and the fantastic 2015 examug Christmas Raffle.
You can stay for the whole evening, or pop in for a quick drink and bite to eat. It’s a very flexible evening. Come on, join us. It will be great!

New User Corner
New or inexperienced OS X or iOS user? Get some 1:1 help from an experienced and friendly member of the team.
Hi, we are the Exeter Area Mac User Group and for nearly a decade we have been helping our members in and around Exeter get the most from their Apple devices.
We have young members and members who are young at heart. We meet once every two months for informal meetings. These meetings have a friendly atmosphere and include tea, coffee and healthy snacks.
The group is non-profit making and run by a committee of volunteers. To fund the group activities there is a small yearly fee of £22 for individuals or £35 per household. Alternatively you can pay £5 per meeting on attendance (your first meeting is free).
