September examug – Sounds Great!

Next Tuesday is our delayed September examug meeting, and it’s going to be really, really Q.I.

There’s lots of news to cover but we also have two great presentations planned:

We have decided to postpone our iOS13, iPadOS and macOS Catalina reviews to the November meeting as these won’t be released until later in the year. Instead we will
have…

1. A Mini’app’olis Special
2. Our Guide to the Apple HomePod

~~~~~~
1. Mini’app’olis Special – As part of this, we are going to do a quick fire review of several great apps for iPhone and iPad. We intend to cover:
What 3 ?????
Tiny P’s
England O’s
What the ????
British ????s
??????Matic
……….if you can work out what they might be ! One has even been designed to save your life!!! Also, if you’ve got a great app you’d like to talk about if we have any spare time, let us know, or just be prepared to come up and share your experiences with members on the day – minutes permitting !
2. Apple HomePod. Our second presentation is more traditional with the examug take on this ’New HomeKit’. We will demo its key features and share our thoughts, it’s highs and lows (as it were). Whether you’re an audiophile or just after a great sounding smart speaker, you’ll get something from this demo. It’s going to sound great, even insanely great – possibly! Our usual mix of accessible presentation and chat. Suitable for all, from the newbie to the most techie, and we guarantee you’ll learn something new – and useful new.
Location: ISCA College, Exeter
Plus a quick reminder, as agreed at the AGM from this meeting we will be asking for £7 if you pay per meeting (or £25 per year) and we hope members who can afford to and who wish to, will be happy to pay a little more towards the group (a membership+ if you will). We suggest £30 for those paying annually, or £10 for those paying per meeting. Do remember all money raised goes towards the group, to cover all costs including insurance, room hire, snacks at meetings, etc. We are non-profit making, run by volunteers and are supported by members like you.
And we will be able to accept contactless payment, either ApplePay or from a card.
